We’re pleased to introduce Alastair (Al) Davidson to the Cortex team.
Joining Cortex, Al is supporting our Partners and Customers as Automation Transformation Manager. The role focuses on bringing together business and IT teams to successfully deliver Intelligent Automation solutions. With automation projects requiring input from across an organisation the Automation Transformation Manager ensures that deployments are not delivered in isolation; bringing together the technology with the right people and processes to deliver the right results.
Al supports organisations in turning tactical applications of Cortex Intelligent Automation into wider strategic deployments. Organisations often approach automation as a means to address a pressing business or operational challenge, but once deployed organisations can realise the extended benefits and uses for the Cortex Intelligent Automation platform.
Al has a wealth of experience delivering automation programmes, having worked for technology companies such as Platinum Technology, CA, IBM, Tidal Software and subsequently Cisco where he has delivered automation projects across Data Centre Management, Cloud and Systems Management. These roles have seen him work in Technical Account Management and Pre-sales, along with managing teams of Consultants, Pre-sales and Training colleagues, gaining a breadth of experience.
Al’s first project is working alongside one of Cortex’s strategic partners who are undertaking a global solution platform roll out. The staged deployment approach is seeing Cortex applied to several project streams, initially focusing on self-healing IT, manual to automated billing processes and capacity metrics. As these ‘streams’ are completed further deployment projects are being scoped and onboarded to the wider automation programme.
For Al, the Cortex appeal, was the company’s strong organisational agility, combined with the calibre and quality of customers and projects to be involved with,
“The enthusiasm and passion which I saw from the existing team, combined with the flexibility of the company was really refreshing. I’m looking forward to helping our partners and customers evolve on the next stages of their automation journeys.”
